Submitting and Managing Your Application
It is important to adopt a sensitive approach when dealing with the planning application. For instance the submission of a planning application should always be regarded as the last of a series of steps in which the planners have been made aware, and given their approval as far as possible at each stage.
It is interesting to note that planners are obliged to point our how the site can be developed within policy and are not just a source of negative opinion as is often thought.
We always stress to clients that the outcome of a Planning Application can never be guaranteed. This is partly because the final decision may rest with a lay committee of local councillors.
Your planning consent requires you to start to build in, say 3 years. There are ways that this can be extended by making a start on site. We will advise you what constitute such a step.
